We have a had a vacation in the works for quite awhile now. We really wanted to make it to Disneyworld while we were on this side of the country. After some planning and saving, that time has finally come for THE vacation! It seems we have friends all over the country now-a-days, mostly due to medical school and residency training. It makes it great, because we always find someone along they way to visit.
Our first stop was Savannah, Georgia, where our friends, the Little's, are at for school. They actually left us this summer from Ohio.
They are known for their rabbits. We can't forget them!
Emily is the oldest of 4 girls. She is a pro when it comes to helping out with the little ones.
4 Shermans + 4 Littles (plus a neighborhood girl) = Always a friend to play with!
This girl is a great friend! I'm sorry we couldn't have staying longer.
We made it all the way down to Miami, Florida to visit our great friends, the De La Houssayes. We met in Missouri and followed each other to Michigan and Ohio. We parted ways when they moved to Miami for Chris' radiology residency. It's been 2 long years since we've seen them. We already have plans for them to move to Wenatchee, Washington when Chris' training is all done.
We got to experience church a little differently. It is a bilingual ward, so they offer head-sets for everyone. The services are done about half and half in each language.
Look at those red cheeks and shorts! Yep, we enjoyed some fantastic weather while we were there.
We had to hit the beach!
My kids had no hesitation about getting into the water.
Jess stayed in the shade with her younger two. Hallie had no interest in joining the other kids. Syler is 6 months old and was just there for kicks and giggles.
Checking out the lighthouse!
My little fishies!
Making a sand angel!
You know you had a productive day when we get sleeping kids in the car!
Thanks Chris and Jess! It was a great visit!
