Spring Fever!

The sun came on strong and melted all the snow (only for a few days before it dumped on us again.)

Gavin is out and about.

The melted snow left a huge lake in our yard. Even after I told Makenzie to avoid the water, she still came in with wet shoes. We went through 4 pairs of shoes in 2 days. She was delighted to find that I bought her some rain boots to alleviate that problem. She only got to try them out for a few hours before the snow came again. Ha!


We had some friends over and I turned on the kid's music. Jordan had to have his dance shoes on as well. He was just cracking me up that day!

Birthday Boy!

It was a party all day long for this guy!

He got a new bike

and lots more presents!

We had a Spider-Man themed day. That is what he finally decided on. Although there were several runner-ups. I gave him the idea of having an I-phone cake. He loves the phone. We don't have any game systems or TV, so this is what he uses. I also threw out the idea of doing a toilet cake, because he is so big into bathroom humor. Oh boy, he totally went into hysterics with that idea.

Tyler couldn't be home for the party, so do you notice him on web-cam?

Love Day

I got to go to Makenzie's class party. I love seeing her in her element at school.

Playing bingo!Not like the kids needed anymore candy.... But this was their FHE treat.

And of course I got these lovely flowers from my Love!

Surgery Day

Jordan had a complication with his circumcision as a baby, which they call meatal stenosis. He had to have a very small corrective surgery. Because he is so young and it was in a delicate area, they had to use anesthesia. Because of the famous blizzard that hit at the beginning of February, the surgery was postponed until Saturday. We got to be in downtown Detroit at 6am.

Can I please have something to drink?
The worse part was not allowing him to eat or drink until after the surgery. That was torture. We were out by 10am and now all is well.

Wintertime fun!

Oh what do you do in the wintertime when all the days are cold?!?!

We've had plenty of adventures!

There has been plenty of snow around. Gavin loves it outside, even with it being so cold. He only gets lucky to play outside when I feel like bundling myself up as well. It, of course, is by far not as much as he would like!

Gavin is very busy and is my little helper. He is constantly mimicking my actions. He discovered the kitchen sink. He loves playing in the water. He is constantly dragging a chair over there now.

"Can I help?"

"Hot!"
That was one of his first words. He says a lot of words now.

This one is for the record books!!

You all you should know now that Jordan has a total of like 10 foods that he eats. Well.... make that 12 now!! Randomly one day he said he wanted to have some of the Southwest Chicken casserole I made. (Chicken, corn, black beans, and salsa.) He sat there and had 2 helpings! The whole time he was rubbing his belly and saying, "This is so yummy, Mom!"



So later on that week, I was making scrambled eggs for Gavin. Jordan said he wanted some too. I was a little hesitant because he does this a lot, but then turns his nose at it in the end. Well, he ended up scarfing them down and again telling me how yummy they were. Gavin wasn't so happy to not get his eggs right away, so I quickly cooked up some more!

Phone Photos!

I got a new phone for my birthday.... an I-phone. I never ever thought I would get an I-phone. I gave Tyler such a hard time getting an I-phone. But when we went in and looked at our options, it just made sense to get one. The one thing I love about this new phone is being able to take pictures and send them to Tyler at work throughout the day. It's great to send him some of the random daily things we do. So here are some of the pics....

Imagination Station!

We have a fun children's museum in Toledo, OH (about 45 minutes) which we try to frequent at least once a month. These pictures are from my phone, but none-the-less they captured some fun!
