Wellness Day!

Tyler had school off on Friday due to Wellness Day. They just give the poor students a break every so often. We figured the best way to become well once again was to go to the temple. Our temple is the Nauvoo Temple, but it was closed for cleaning. So we decided to go to St. Louis instead. We had a few other things that we had to get done while we were there. One was to get our disc drive fixed on our computer. We were computerless for 5 days! Oh the agony! I won't say we are all addicted to the computer, but it sure is nice just to hop on the internet for a few minutes here and there to search something out or to check blogs!

We had to reward the kids for enduring the trip, so we took them to a children's museum. Makenzie really wanted to go to the zoo, but it was pouring rain the whole time we were there. She enjoyed herself and threw a complete tantrum as we dragged her out to the car. Both kids were asleep in a matter of minutes of getting on the road.

That's my man! We start them out young! This

Happiness reigns at the Sherman household!!!

Because....

1. We are enjoying the much anticipated warm Spring weather. (It won't be long until the true "Misery" (Missouri) weather will be upon us- HOT and HUMID.

2. The grass is green and we are starting to get it mowed.

3. Yesterday, we planted beautiful flowers in our pots outside. Now I have to make sure that the kids don't pick them!

4. We are enjoying being able to walk to a lot of places. The kids love their wagon!

5. You can give the kids a bucket of water outside and they will actually stay in the yard and play with it for an hour!

6. Makenzie got a new swimsuit.

Happy Spring!

I'll give you two options...

Makenzie started taking her clothes off this afternoon.

I said: "Makenzie, I don't want you running around the house naked!"
Her response: "Okay, Mom, I'll walk."

Pill-a-Phobia....

I have a pill phobia!!! I hate swallowing big honker pills.  During my pregnancies I opted for the good ol' Flintstones chewables, so I didn't have to take those huge prenatals.  I tried for a while, but they made me sick anyways.  So with Tyler in med school, he continues to learn many good and healthy things.   One of which is taking omega pills (fish oil) if you aren't getting your recommended amount of fish in your diet.  I hate fish, so I don't cook it.  Poor Tyler usually opts for fish whenever we go out for dinner.

When Tyler got his LASIK surgery in December, they required him to take an omega pill a day.  He started doing it and now he is making me do it too!  Oh how I dread every morning at breakfast...  He thinks it's so easy just to pop it in and swallow.  For me I can't do it.  I have to fill my mouth with liquid and the pill has to be strategically placed on my tongue, and then out of luck it may go down without me gagging.   This whole process can take several minutes.  After a few days of taking a pill, Tyler eased up on watching me.  After he ran out the door for school, my pill was still there.  I would just place it back in the bottle.  I was hoping I could get away with this for a long time.... but it only lasted 3 days!  DARN.  Now he watches me like a hawk, taunting me, until I gag that pill down.  It still hasn't gotten easier, though Tyler says it will.
