Before we made the actual trip to Utah, we made our way up to Chicago to visit my parents who are serving a mission. They have been there for almost a year now! We stayed very busy for the two days we got to stay with them.
This picture isn't the best because mine and Gavin's eyes are close, but it was the only one we got with everyone together.
We went and saw some Botanic Gardens. It was amazingly beautiful! The kids were watching the ducks.
Kenzie enjoying the rose garden.
The trees were trimmed in a square.
They had Bonsai Trees.
They are real miniature trees.
Love all the colors!
The water fountain was like a flower. Can you tell? The kids enjoyed cooling down.
We went to a local splash park. The kids had way too much fun!
The splash park also included a huge sand box.
We also ventured out to a children's museum.
Grandma was sitting in a large car seat.
Makenzie's favorite was the grocery store.
Playing Dr.
Pumping his little legs to blow air in a balloon and watch it float up.
The children's museum is for all ages!
Grandpa is enjoying it too!
Hanging out
Makenzie found the face paint. When we lived in Michigan we use to venture to the Toledo, Ohio zoo often. They had a face painting station there and she use to always paint a cheetah face on her. So this is what she did again.
Gavin found the face painting too!
Can never go wrong with trains!
You can't really tell in the picture, but this is the result on the other side.
Jordan loved "working" at the restaurant.
Here is Makenzie with her painted face.
These bucket seats were on an angle and would turn you around and around as soon as you got in. It got the kids sick real quick. It was so funny when Gavin was in it because he couldn't stop and started freaking out. When I got to him, he was so dizzy and could not walk at all.
Hanging out at Nana B. and Papa Joe's. They loved playing with the keyboard and the automatic music that it would play.
