Vacation- San Francisco

We were on our way to Southern California to spend a week with my family.  It's quite the drive for us in Washington, so we decided to stop in the San Francisco area for a day and show the kids the sites.

First stop: The Jelly Belly Factory!

Tyler and I visited the Jelly Belly Factory when we were engaged.  Maybe later I will find the same pic that we took in front of the same wall many years ago!

Showing off their hats that were REQUIRED to be worn for the tour.

Fun pictures made with Jelly Belly's!

We spent the rest of the day at the piers.  We went on a boat tour under the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island.  Makenzie learned all about Alcatraz so she was excited to see it.  I didn't get any pics of the cruise, because I was dealing with a hungry fussy baby.

The street performers perked the kids interest.  They didn't know what to think of this guy at first.

These 2 brothers put on a 45 minute show.  It's kind of hard to see, but he is balancing on 4 rows of boards and cups on a large steel tube, and his finale was doing a hand stand on it.  He was pretty impressive!
We went to a wax museum, where the kids probably only knew about 25% of the people in it.  It was still fun to go around and take pictures.

We went to Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum.
This elephant was made out of recycled tires.

A fun kaleidoscope hallway....

Picture by the world's tallest man.... He makes Tyler look puny.

We did a whole lot of walking this day!!! The kids did great!  We also road the BART transit system in and out of the city.  It was quite the adventure... we had a few wierdo's we had to deal with on the way home.
