Makenzie is now 6!
We took two days to celebrate because she had school off the day before and her Dad has been working ER shifts from two to midnight all week. We kept a simple birthday celebration because we went all out on her one birthday present-- a month of horse riding lessons! This girl has had a passion for horses since she was two and it keeps growing (although she really hasn't rode anything but a short pony ride in a little circle!) I was a little worried she would be disappointed in only having one gift (which was just a piece of paper in a gift bag telling her about the lessons.) Her reaction was the best. She now reads quite well. So after she understood it, she started jumping up and down and screaming with excitement.
She knew exactly what she wanted for a cake. She helped me out to make it just perfect.
She had her first lesson after school today. She was in heaven!

I keep meaning to comment and tell you how disappointed I was that we weren't able to see you when you practically in my backyard! I was reminded of it when I saw the pictures of makenzie because I think she and my Eliza would be good friends.
Cannot believe she is 6!!! Crazy how time flies. She is beautiful and looks JUST LIKE her mamma I must say!!! Glad you made her dream come true!

I hope all's well prepping for graduation and your big move! Wish we could see you on the way but we totally understand you can't make it. Miss you lots.
