A couple weeks ago I was hosting our little preschool group at my house for the week. To make conversation with all the 3 and 4 year olds at snack time, I asked them what they were going to be for Halloween. To my surprise, every single child rattled off some sort of character or costume! I had not talked to Makenzie about Halloween at all, so I wondered if she knew what she wanted to be. Her response was, " The Little Mermaid." Okay.... I wasn't prepared for that one.
I've brought the subject up several more times and she continues to respond that she wants to be "The Little Mermaid." Why couldn't she be a princess or Snow White or a clown, or anything else that we have supplies for? I'm not all too creative, but I guess I'm willing to work with her request. So on Friday we set off to a fabric store an hour away in search of material for our "Little Mermaid." Much to my surprise we found a shiny green fabric that had a fish scale pattern on it! I got a little more excited as I envisioned a somewhat decent costume coming together. Stay tuned to see the finished project...which will be modest by the way.

I think its hilarious that you said your not all that creative! That is so not true!! I'm excited to see what you come up with! Michelle
Fun! It sounds like your having fun! The little mermaid will be adorable. And you are such a seamstress. Going back to school sounds great. You will be great at helping Tyler with everything. We miss you guys and think of you often. Almost everyday when we walk past your old house.
