I would like to thank Sesame Street, pbskids.org, and Wheel of Fortune for helping teach the alphabet to my daughter. She is really picking up on the letters. The last two nights I turned on Wheel of Fortune while I got her ready for bed and she loved it! The other day I was trying to relate things to the first letter they start with: "A is for apple, acorn, and alligator." I even drew some pictures. Later on I heard her say: "A is for crocodile!" (Crocodile/Alligator, they look like the same to me too!) She tries to make that relation, but still doesn't get the concept yet. We were getting out of the car the other day and in the sky a few jets left their mark with some cloud streaks. They so happened to be formed in a "X." Makenzie said, "Look, Mom! X is for clouds!" Makenzie can even sing the ABC song all by herself. Again, I don't think she correlates that she is singing about each letter of the alphabet yet, but it's still pretty darn cute!
