Pre- Halloween

Wow!

We had quite the busy week. We did some recruiting and opened our home for two current SUU students who came out to Kirksville to interview. One came on Sunday and the other on Wednesday. We of course talked it all up and tried to sell the school and area. In reality we love everything about this place and have no complaints ourselves.

The school did a trunk-or-treat on Friday. Makenzie was a Geisha girl... I have a kamono that my dad gave me when he went to Japan for navy when I was a little girl. I heard the rumor that Geisha's are known as prostitutes, so I did a little research on wikipedia. It is not true.... So my daughter did not dress up as a Japanese prostitute. I put a little bit of makeup on her and she just loved looking in the mirror. Jordan was a little cowboy.

The church is doing another trunk-or-treat on Tuesday night. What is this world coming to? Oct. 31st hasn't even arrived, and my little ones already have enough candy to last them for a year and one of them only has two teeth! Not to mention that Grandma Sherman sent 10 lbs of candy on top of that! We did give Jordan a big tootsie roll to eat which was funny funny. So on the real Halloween, we plan on staying at home, carving our pumpkin, and handing out candy to any kids who really work for their candy.
