Out of Gas

This little guy goes 100 mph nonstop all day.  Bedtimes are hard because he just doesn't want to lay down!  The bedtime battle is something that I will fight with him later.  So this is how I found him one night after he finally just ran out of gas.

Ahhh... I love it when my house is quiet and I can check on all my babies sleeping so peacefully.  I love them all so much!

Enjoying the sunshine!!

Summer is moving right along.  The kids were determined to have a lemonade stand.  The neighborhood kids were their best customers!

Makenzie finished dance for the the school year with a huge show.  It was quite the production.  She did so well and definitely has some talent in that area.  She did a tap dance to Blue Suede Shoes.

She then did a gymnastic number to show how limber she is.

Do you notice the hole in her tights?  Without fail she ALWAYS gets a hole in her tights the first day she wears them.

She, of course, needed some performance flowers as well.

Makenzie is showing off her water creatures she found while we were out at our ward garden.  She claims they are fish, but I don't know for sure.  She is our animal and bug lover.

I did have a picture of Gavin naked outside playing in the hose, but I'll spare him the embarrassment in later years.

Beautiful Miss Ellionna....

Trying to capture her smile on camera... but haven't done it just yet.
She gave me 7 glorious hours of straight sleep last night!!!

And the husband comes home every night and does this in 2.5 seconds....

Counting down... 10 more days until he is back on a normal schedule AND officially done with his internship year.  Only 2 more years to go!!!

To be a kid again...

1 Mommy + 1 Dad who is working crazy long ridiculous hours + 4 kids = Busy, Busy, Busy, and too exhausted to update the blog.  But I must...

The kids kept using my sunglasses, so they each got a pair from the dollar store.  Gavin has his on upside down.  The lecture has been given that they are each responsible for their glasses.  No more sunglasses if they break them or become lost. It's been 4 days and so far so good.

Miss Ellionna will be 6 weeks on Wednesday!  She is a keeper!  Such a good baby!

We got ONE day with Dad.  We went on a picnic and went hiking.  The kids were so excited to use the picnic basket that they got me for my birthday.

Such good little hikers!  I was the only one that got a tick.

Not much more excitement than this!  Just trying to keep the kids fed, happy, and entertained.  It's good, but my free time is being dedicated to sleep right now.  Good night!  Hope to update sooner next time!

School's out for summer!

Here we go!!!  I have all four kids home with me all day long (and Tyler has been on a horrible rotation that is only allowing him come home to sleep practically.)  I have a long list of things to hopefully keep these kids busy and happy, but unfortunately Makenzie was already complaining on Day 2 that she was bored!  Ha Ha!

Our small 10 foot slip n' slide just doesn't cut it for our hill!  Thanks to some great 50 feet of plastic sheeting for $6, I saw pure joy on my kid's faces! Also our poor kiddie pool is nothing compared to everyone in our neighborhood that has a large swimming pool to swim in.  At least we can say we are the only ones that has a hill and a cool slip n' slide.

The kids found a snake slithering around in the grass.  This is actually the third one they have found, but the first one they caught.  They were so fascinated.  They also caught a frog last week too!

Making their favorite snack... popcorn.  It is a staple at our house!
And somehow I got away with not getting any pictures of the baby.  Darn!  I get to enjoy looking at that cute baby face every minute.  I know you are jealous!  Ha Ha!

Enjoy!

Here are some more pictures because I know that is what you want to see.  Ellionna has been a great baby thus far!  She sleeps a lot as you can see.

My two year old keeps me hopping, but I sure do love him.
My major adjustment with the new baby is keeping him somewhat under control.  Ha Ha!
A piece of what he did one day last week:
Spilled red gatorade all over the couch and carpet.
Ran inside the elementary and down the hall when I was dropping off Jordan at preschool.
Stole a box of cereal and took it to his room. (After this picture, he spread it all over and stomped on it!)
He likes to strip his clothes off at any given minute, as seen in the cereal picture. I asked him to get dressed and he came downstairs wearing his sister's clothes.

The kids love climbing the trees out front.
And all the kids love being a mama's helper with Ellionna.

One week old

Have I mentioned that we are totally in love with this little girl???

Named after her 2 Grandma's:

 Jenny's Mom (Donna)
)
 Tyler's Mom (Wendy Mae)

Hmmm.... I wonder how she got that??? Ellionna had to be on the bili lights for a few days.  You may notice a blue glow behind her head.

Gavin loves loves loves his new baby sister.  He is playing the harmonica for her.
