Makenzie is 11!

I'm struggling with the idea that my daughter is in her last year of primary!  I can't believe she's been apart of our family for 11 years, and that in another 11 years, she could possibly starting her own!  (I'm not saying anything, except that I was 21 when I got married and 23 when I had her.)  Until then, we will enjoy our tween!  We surprised her with one LARGE gift.  She opened up some new cowgirl boots.... which would be beneficial with the horse lessons she would be starting!  She was more than excited! I need to get picks of her out on the ranch, as she is a natural out there.

We had a small family party on her actual birthday.
Ice cream cake, of course!

We took her out bowling with some of her friends.  She has found a great bunch of girls.

Randomness of our Lives

Our hot water heater started leaking, so we invested into a tankless hot water heater.  Tyler did his research on it and installed it.

Ellionna so innocently is showing Tyler her owie on her finger.  Tyler is not so innocent about capturing a picture to blackmail her later on in life.

 Jordan is good at multi-tasking.

These boys still are sleeping together.
They start in separate beds at night, but Jordan always ends up in Gavin's bed.

Ellionna with all her gear.
She is becoming quite the mess-maker with putting her toys all over the house.

Makenzie, our book worm.
We just went to the library and she was so excited to get a new stack of books that will be read through in just a few weeks.

How many can we fit in for a selfie?

Seattle chocolate tasting tour

Tyler and I are trying to go on more unique dates.  I made him a binder for Christmas that consists of 12 fun dates, one for each month.  In February, we went to Seattle to take part in a 2 hour Chocolate Tasting tour.  We visited 6 shops in downtown and was able to learn all about chocolate and of course taste anything and everything chocolate.  Ice cream, cupcakes, chocolate bars from all over the world, cookies, hot chocolate, cheesecake, and even a cocoa bean as well (They have a very strong, bitter taste.)  I didn't think it was possible, but we were chocolated out by the end!

Trying to make a chocolate mustache.

We also tried some coconut cream pie,

as it was a "staple" at one of the shops.

We also was able to walk around a bit and tour the area.  The "gum wall" was something we ran into.  Baby Amelia joined us for the date too, although you can only see her head.

School plays

Jordan and Gavin's school participated in a week long play from a traveling Children's theater.  They performed, "Repunzel."  The boys enjoyed taking part in it.  Gavin was a mushroom and Jordan was a potato.

The corn and the potato were spies in the play.
They were the "ears" and "eyes."

Makenzie's school did a play called, "Cinderwerewolf."  It was a mixed up version of Cinderella and the 3 Little Pigs.  Makenzie got a lead role as THE Cinderwerewolf!  She was so excited, except for having to wear that ugly mask.  She even got to wear a professional microphone.
I went to a practice, because I wasn't able to actually make it to the performance.  Here she is doing a scene with the Prince, who actually is a boy from our church.  In the play, the prince ends up choosing the Cinderwerewolf instead of the beautiful, but bratty Cinderella.

Happy 9th Birthday to Jordan!

Another year older for this Dude!!!

He got all his baseball equipment to play this Spring.
He was most excited about his gift card to buy games.

He almost only put 8 candles on his brownie cake.  But he is now 9!

We let Jordan pick out a birthday activity to do as a family and with a few friends.  Jordan picked ice skating.  Poor Tyler spent the whole time pushing the Ellionna with the walker.  Makenzie was there, but she stayed busy skating the whole time.

Growing Baby

My favorite person to play dress up with and take pictures of.
Our baby is growing fast!

One month old

Two months old

Three months old

She loves her hands now!

She discovered her toys, too!

Gotta love those night time snuggles!

Staying warm while the kids play at the park.

Amelia is always the center of attention, especially with her red head siblings!
